black and white burlesque
On the occasion of the 45th presentation of the Golden Camera from HÖRZU, we developed a 1920s “black and white burlesque” look that is drawn like a golden thread through all elements of the print communication. We thought of everything down to the last detail, starting with the “save the date” correspondence and an elaborately produced invitation box containing a comprehensive package of personalized guest information, on to the entrance and seating tickets and including the program booklet and the official VIP guest gifts. The recurring design elements are decor and typeface that are delicately laser-embossed on natural paper and the revised camera logo embossed with relief cut printing and stamped with golden hot foil. The font “News Gothic Pointe,” especially developed for this event using dotted elements instead of lines, is supplemented with an ornamental font. We developed this in cooperation with Lorenz Dietrich.
